From the Exposition across Russia: how the "Future in Flowers" festival inspires travels
The "Future in Flowers" festival continues to
delight Exposition guests. The flowerbeds-expositions are worth a look not only
because of the art of florists and gardeners, but also to learn even more about
our country. For example, many regions decided to present their main tourist
attractions here. Ancient fortresses, picturesque nature and luxurious
architecture — one look is enough to make you want to book tickets and pack
your bags.
St. Petersburg
The floral exposition on the Neva River is inspired by the exquisite gardens of Peterhof.
Here you can see the famous fountains "Samson" and "Chess
Mountain", roses of rare varieties and rhododendrons, which the palace
alleys are famous for. Those who dream of having a beautiful vacation, plunging
into the history and culture of their native country, will find a trip to
Peterhof a real discovery.
Magadan region
The region is known for its fantastic nature. There are
snowy peaks and forest valleys, cleanest rivers and the sea with a picturesque
coastline. And all this was reflected in the flowerbed-exposition. Its main
highlight were the figures of orcas, because they can be easily seen in the Sea
of Okhotsk. In addition, other marine animals can be observed in the region:
belugas, seals and even whales. Traveling to these lands will be a real
adventure.
Sevastopol
Those who are fond of sea romance should go to Sevastopol.
This is what is subtly hinted at by the sailing ships furrowing the floral
"seas". And you can also see the Cembalo Fortress, an ancient Genoese
structure with towers, on display at the exposition. Built in
the 14th century, today this unique historical monument combined with the
beauty of Balaklava Bay attracts tourists from all over the country.
Caucasus
Caucasian republics are actively presenting their tourist
potential. In Ingushetia's flowerbed you can see
one of the architectural treasures of the region — the towers of two rivals,
located in the area of buckthorn grove near the spur of the Rocky Ridge.
Dagestan, which is definitely worth seeing in person. North Ossetia presented
the impressive Fatima art object, symbolizing the "Fatima Holding the
Sun" sculpture installed at the entrance to Vladikavkaz. The exposition of the Chechen Republic features unyielding mountains among flowers and
greenery, and in the center there is the legendary blue lake Kazenoy-Am, which
is famous for its purest icy water.
Republic of Buryatia
Buryatia could not help showing its main wealth. It is, of
course, Lake Baikal. It is not surprising that ecological tourism is actively
developing in the region. Great Baikal is magnificent at any time of the year.
Another attraction and a bright element of the flower exposition is the
sculpture "Mother Buryatia", symbolizing the hospitality of the
republic.
The integration of special military operation veterans into peaceful life and the interaction between regions and municipalities were discussed as part of the Forum "SMALL HOMELAND – THE STRENGTH OF RUSSIA".
The second All-Russian Municipal Forum "Small Homeland – the Strength of Russia" is taking place at the National Centre RUSSIA.
