St. Petersburg presented new geography at the RUSSIA EXPO

On St. Petersburg Day at the International RUSSIA EXPO, a presentation of the Northern Capital's tourism potential took place. A team of specialists from the St. Petersburg City Tourist Information Bureau and a leading tour operator presented the city's opportunities in the hospitality industry.
The presentation at the stand of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation was launched by Yulia Sakharova, Deputy Director General of the City Tourist Information Bureau, who told the guests of the Feel Russia pavilion about the potential of St. Petersburg as a tourist hub, as well as a cultural, educational and entertainment center. A special place in her speech was given to the city development projects aimed at creating new points of attraction for tourists, new urban spaces, museums, water and pedestrian urban routes.
The presentation was followed by the representatives of one of the leading tour operators of St. Petersburg Tari Tour Group of Companies with the presentation of the new national tourist route St. Petersburg. New Geography. The guests of the exposition heard a detailed account of the bright impressions they will be able to get, having come to St. Petersburg under the program of the new year-round route with weekly bookings.
At the end of the presentation there was a quiz-raffle on the knowledge of the objects of the new tourist geography, with the winners becoming the happy owners of tickets to museums, river cruises and new excursions. The main prize of the quiz was a certificate for the St. Petersburg. New Geography tour for two people with accommodation in a 4* hotel.
We would like to remind that the presentation of the St. Petersburg. New Geography route took place at the meeting of the expert council on the definition of national tourist routes at the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation at the end of November this year. The development of national tourist routes in St. Petersburg takes place within the framework of the national project Tourism and Hospitality Industry initiated by the President of Russia. The realization of the national project will make it possible to significantly increase exports of tourist services by 2030, ensure the growth of domestic travels in the country up to 140 million and double the number of jobs in the tourism industry.
