St. Petersburg "Wonder of Light" festival is timed to coincide with the opening of the RUSSIA EXPO

St. Petersburg "Wonder of Light" festival is timed to coincide with the opening of the RUSSIA EXPO
10.27.2023

On the Day of National Unity and the first day of the International RUSSIA EXPO St. Petersburg will open its exposition at the VDNH and turn the Peter and Paul Fortress into a modern open-air multimedia space.

The "Wonder of Light" festival will become a logical continuation of the exposition space of the Northern Capital in Moscow and will tell about the development and achievements of St. Petersburg and our country. Thanks to the creative vision of VR-artists, the Peter and Paul Fortress will acquire new facets of reality. For the first time during the festival there will be an exposition of works by artists who create with the help of neural networks, and a popular science lecture will be held in the Naryshkin Bastion. Every visitor of the "Wonder of Light" will be able to feel their belonging to the history, culture and future of Russia.

The International RUSSIA EXPO, to which this year’s festival "Wonder of Light" is coincided, will be opened on November 4, 2023 on the VDNH territory. The Northern Capital will show its most iconic and successful projects at the exposition in Moscow. The start of the exposition will be artistically reflected in the St. Petersburg festival.

The "Wonder of Light" festival will be held for three days from 19:00 to 22:00. Entrance is free, the access is only from the side of St. John’s Bridge. Exit is available from the side of Kronverk Bridge. Read more about the "Wonder of Light" on the Visit Petersburg portal and in the social network of the event.

It should be reminded that St. Petersburg was among the top three most sought-after destinations in Russia on the long weekend of November 4-6. In the first nine months of 2023, about 7.8 million tourists visited St. Petersburg — almost as many as in the whole of last year.
