A colorful Cossack Ded Moroz came from the Stavropol region on the Day of the Region at VDNH. There is no doubt that the magician is a real Cossack. Ded Moroz's outfit is full of elements of the traditional costume of Stavropol - stripes on his sharovary trousers, gazyri (implements to hold a rifle charge) and epaulettes.

The Cossack Grandfather greeted all the guests of the RUSSIA EXPO and children first and foremost. He said that despite the snow-covered roads, he got there quickly and safely: "Everything is fast in my south! And I am a southern Cossack Ded Moroz. In the south I have already prepared everything for the New Year. Gifts are packed, wishes are coming true and children are smiling. Today is my birthday and I decided to celebrate it together with you!"

According to legend, Cossack Grandfather Frost spends the warm season - it is much longer in Stavropol than in Moscow - in the Cave of Permafrost, inside Mount Razvalka near the town of Zheleznovodsk. In winter, the Stavropol Ded Moroz likes to drive out on his colorful auto-train to congratulate the residents of the entire North Caucasus. And today he reached Moscow! His visit is part of the Ded Moroz Days taking place at VDNH from November 18 to December 24.

"In the morning we hesitated whether to go to the Exposition, we were afraid of freezing our noses off. But our daughters persuaded us to go. And we didn't regret it - such an unexpected Cossack wizard, with a huge retinue of Snow Maidens Snegurochkas. Very cool!" - shared her impressions Anastasia Gukova, a resident of the Moscow region, who came to the RUSSIA EXPO on Saturday with her schoolgirl daughters.

The series of visits to the Exposition by winter "Grandfathers" started with the celebration of the birthday of the most famous Ded Moroz, who lives in Veliky Ustyug. Tatar Kysh Babai, Wes Dada from Kabardino-Balkaria and Mityn Dada from North Ossetia have already visited the Exposition.

The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place. During the whole period of the Exposition, guests are welcomed with cultural and entertainment events, a rich business and educational program. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors.
