Masterpieces of world classics performed by opera stars - May 19 at the RUSSIA EXPO
The Exposition stage in Pavilion No. 75 will feature
outstanding works of opera performed by soloists of the Bolshoi and Mariinsky
Theaters. Musical accompaniment will be provided by performers of the Symphony
Orchestra of the St. Petersburg Conservatory under the direction of Merited
Artist of Russia Alexei Vasilyev.
The Mariinsky Theater soloist Gelena Gaskarova
(soprano); Svetlana Shilova (mezzo-soprano), Merited Artist of Russia and
soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre; Ilya Selivanov (tenor), soloist of the Bolshoi
Theatre; and Vadim Kravets (bass), soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre will
perform for the guests of the Exposition.
The project is realized with the support of the
Russian Culture Foundation within the framework of the federal project "Creative People" of the national project "Culture".
