Juan A. de Castro de Arespacochaga, Doctor of Economics, Professor at the Complutense University of Madrid, emphasized the special importance of the SPIEF'25 session "Shaping a new platform for Global Growth", which set the tone not only for the Forum's business program, but also for the future economic agenda of global development. The expert shared his observations on the sidelines of the forum, which is taking place in St. Petersburg from June 18 to 21.

"It was a key session because we had a really open dialogue about the future. Of course, I think this will be important for Russia, BRICS, and those countries that represent the global majority today. These are the countries that will become the leading seven states by 2050. Of course, this is important for Russia, but it is also important for the whole world. I was in Russia in 2023, and have come this time. Both then and now I notice optimism, dynamics and development here. And all the businessmen and leaders who are present here see it too," said Juan A. de Castro de Arespacochaga.

According to the expert, the discussion and the entire SPIEF'25 will become a powerful impetus for the economic growth of the countries of the Global South.

The session "Shaping a new Platform for Global Growth" was based on the results of the Open Dialogue guided by the National Centre RUSSIA, which played a special role in shaping the forum's agenda, said Tiago Rudiger, CEO of the Tanssi Foundation. He added that without the large-scale event of the National Centre RUSSIA, the meaningful start of the SPIEF'25 business block would not have taken place.

"I think that the Open Dialogue that took place a few months ago in Moscow was an amazing event. It was a great pleasure for me to participate in it and become a part of such a large-scale event. It was brilliantly organized, and discussions on various issues and in various fields proved to be truly productive. It was a really diverse and open dialogue, which is exactly what it should be. The event featured a wide geography of participants and a wide range of topics," an expert from Brazil shared his impressions.

SPIEF'25 takes place in St. Petersburg from 18 to 21 June. The session "Shaping a new Platform for Global Growth" was moderated by Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation. At the session organized by the National Centre RUSSIA, the participants discussed the report of the results of the Open Dialogue prepared by the Centre for Interdisciplinary Expertise "Third Rome".

The recording of the session broadcast is available on the website of the National Centre RUSSIA.
