Procession of Dreamers and house concert with musician: Children's Day at the RUSSIA EXPO
On June 1,
the International RUSSIA EXPO will launch a festive program dedicated to
Children's Day. Until June 9, visitors can enjoy concerts, parades, flash mobs,
performances, and other cultural and educational events as part of the Days of
Childhood Festival.
The
celebration will begin with the launch of the International Festival of Theater Schools of BRICS countries on the stage near the Main Arch of VDNH. Visitors
will see a theatrical costume parade featuring guests from India, China, South
Africa, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, and Belarus. In addition, there will be
a grand concert featuring the best ensembles from Moscow. The creative youth
festival will run from June 1 to June 8, with each day offering its own unique
program.
Also on
June 1, the exposition will host the opening of the Movement of the First Festival. More than 3,000 children and adults from 89 regions of the Russian
Federation, as well as foreign countries, will participate. A highlight of the
first day will be the Procession of Dreamers, which will travel from the North
Loop of VDNH to the Main Street Stage. The parade will consist of five columns,
each representing one of the letters in the Russian word “DREAM”. At the end of
the parade, a capsule with children's wishes will be launched to the ISS. The
festival will continue until June 2.
The
Movement of the First will announce the start of the first All-Russian contest
among mentors of patriotic education "To Be, Not to Seem!". The
contest is being implemented jointly with the Rospatriot program of the Federal
Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), the "Warrior" (“Voin”)
Center, the Ministry of Education of Russia, and the Association of Volunteer
Centers, and aims to create a community of mentors for patriotic education and
to form a reserve of mentors. More than 50,000 representatives of the patriotic
education system will participate in the event.
Additionally,
on June 1 at the Industrial Square, everyone can witness a unique floral
costume show "Children's View: Yesterday-Today-Tomorrow", and on the
Main Street Stage and in Pavilion No. 75, you join the flash mob
"Wonderful Far Away."
On June 1,
the exposition will launch tours along a new route "The Future about the
Future," with guides being children — graduates of the "School of
Young Tour Guides." You can join the tour, developed in collaboration with
the Rosmolodezh program "More Than a Trip", in Pavilion No. 75.
The Foreign Minister
will speak at one of the key events of the Symposium - the panel discussion
"Future of Multipolar World."
The first event to be held at the Russia National Centre, which is being established by the order of President Vladimir Putin, will be the International Science Fiction Symposium and Exhibition "Inventing the Future". The symposium will take place from November 4 to 6.
Tomorrow, the International RUSSIA EXPO will conclude its work. From November 2023 to July 2024, it was visited by more than 18 million guests.
