Sevastopol welcomes a branch of the National Centre RUSSIA: a new stage in the region’s cultural development
Work has begun in Sevastopol to establish a branch of the National Centre RUSSIA. This landmark initiative is part of a large-scale programme aimed at strengthening the country’s cultural unity while preserving the unique legacy of each region.
The new branch will be located in the building of the "Russia" cinema — a popular city venue.
The creation of branches of the National Centre RUSSIA is being implemented on the instruction of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. By the end of 2025, such centres will open in five pilot regions: Primorye region, Sevastopol, Ryazan, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugra, and Krasnoyarsk.
Each branch will become a multifunctional cultural and educational complex that includes:
— modern exposition spaces;
— venues for events;
— educational programmes and workshops;
— areas for business communication;
— department stores showcasing regional brands;
— gastronomic zones with local cuisine;
— special children’s areas.
The Sevastopol branch will place particular emphasis on domestic tourism, the region’s economic potential, its cultural traditions, and heroic past. A dedicated Telegram channel has been created to provide timely updates for residents and visitors, featuring event announcements, reports, and other relevant information.
The opening of the National Centre RUSSIA’s branch in Sevastopol marks a new stage in the region’s cultural development, reinforcing its connection to the broader historical and cultural landscape of the country.
