Investments in fixed capital grew by 7.9% to 878 billion rubles. The personal attention of the head of state allows the NCFD to implement large projects in key sectors of the economy.
EISR experts note that the achievements presented at the exposition are associated with the categories of pride and confidence, consistent development and consolidation of the regions.
Vladimir Shapovalov, member of the Board of the Russian Association of Political Science, EISR project manager, spoke about the establishment of an advanced economic area of Russia in the NCFD, based on the synergy of scientific and technological potential of the North Caucasus regions and qualified labor resources, innovations and traditions of creative labor. He noted that the North Caucasus Federal District regions have also become one of the largest agricultural and tourism clusters in Russia.
"Among the successfully implemented projects are Chechenavto - the first automobile plant in the North Caucasus with a design capacity of 16 thousand cars per year, the Dagestan concern KEMZ, which produces components for SU and MiG aircraft and is currently creating its own helicopter AP-55, one of Russia's first carbon polygons for climate change research, Nevinnomyssk territory of advanced socio-economic development. We are proud of our successes in the improvement of cities, the creation of modern, efficient transport infrastructure... The regions of the NCFD have turned into one of Russia's largest agricultural and tourist clusters. The combination of traditional hospitality and modern tourist infrastructure makes it possible to achieve success. The resorts of the Stavropol region, Kabardino-Balkaria, and Dagestan are becoming more and more attractive both for residents of other Russian regions and for foreign tourists", — he emphasized.
Political scientist Nikolai Mironov noted that the North Caucasus at the RUSSIA EXPO demonstrated its aspiration for industrial development.
"Now these are not only tourist and agricultural regions. There is a revival of enterprises, new facilities are being created. Kabardino-Balkaria (X-ray equipment, diamond production, cable products, etc.), the automobile cluster in Chechnya and other production complexes are particularly noteworthy in this regard. A number of regions of the NCFD have staked on technological growth, emphasizing it with interactive activities at the exposition. If earlier there were 2-3 passionate regions in the district, now the desire for innovation is felt everywhere. Artificial intelligence, robotics, new technologies - these regions are striving to keep up with the growing rhythm of the Russian economy" , — the expert added.
Political scientist Anna Fedorova spoke about the fact that the North Caucasus Federal District is becoming a point of attraction for people, in particular, due to the improvement of cities. She noted that in recent years the NCFD has often appeared in the information field with positive news.
"The development of domestic tourism is encouraging - for example, all sanatoriums in the Stavropol region in 2023 were 100% occupied, and almost half a million people traveled to "Elbrus" in Kabardino-Balkaria. Large interregional and even international youth events are being held. The NCFD is becoming a point of attraction for people - and not only because of its climate and unique nature. The cities of the North Caucasus Federal District have begun to rank high in ratings for urban development and improvement. For example, according to VEB.RF, Stavropol is among the top 5 regional centers in terms of improvement, and according to Finance University, Grozny and Vladikavkaz are among the top 10 most comfortable cities in Russia in terms of quality and standard of living. All this shows that the NCFD is rapidly implementing its huge development potential and becoming an attractive place to live, work and rest", — the expert added.
