The "Ambassadors of Victory" rally will bring twice as many participants to the National Centre RUSSIA this year
The opening ceremony of the All-Russian rally "Ambassadors of Victory" will take place at the National Centre RUSSIA on May 6. Volunteers from different regions of Russia will take part in the official event. The opening will mark the beginning of the large-scale programme "Ambassadors of Victory. Moscow," which runs in the capital from 5 to 10 May. Volunteers will provide support during the Victory Parade on Red Square. This year, the rally will bring together more participants than last year, said Anastasia Ryabova, Executive Director of the All-Russian public movement "Volunteers of Victory."
"The All-Russian rally 'Ambassadors of Victory' is a unique event of the All-Russian public movement 'Volunteers of Victory,' held for the past 10 years. Participants from across Russia go through a competitive selection process, and the best volunteers are chosen to support the Victory Parade on Red Square. On the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, we have increased the number of participants from 100 to 200 volunteers, so that even more people can become part of this unique event," said Anastasia Ryabova.
From May 5 to May 10, participants of the All-Russian rally will take part in educational and cultural programmes, including meetings with Heroes of the Great Patriotic War and other combat operations. The Victory Ambassadors will revisit the key milestones of the Great Patriotic War and prepare to assist during commemorative and festive events.
"One of the highlights of the Rally will be supporting the main Victory Parade on Red Square. For many participants, it is a true dream — to be in the heart of the capital and help organise such a large-scale event," emphasised Anastasia Ryabova.
She noted that this year, 300 volunteers will be assisting on Red Square, including Victory Ambassadors and volunteers from partner organisations. Their responsibilities will include welcoming delegations and providing information to guests.
The opening ceremony of the rally at the National Centre RUSSIA will be attended by Sergei Novikov, Head of the Presidential Directorate for Social Projects of the Russian Federation; Yegor Litvinenko, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs; Olga Zanko, Deputy Chair of the State Duma Committee on the Development of Civil Society and Head of the Central Headquarters of the All-Russian public movement "Volunteers of Victory"; Yekaterina Dragunova, Chair of the Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy of Moscow; Nikolai Imchuk, veteran of the Great Patriotic War; and Andrei Mityashin, Hero of the Russian Federation.
In the fourth episode, the guest of the podcast was Nikolai Chuikov, the grandson of Marshal, two-time Hero of the Soviet Union Vasily Ivanovich Chuikov.
