Shoigu: the National Centre RUSSIA can play a key role in educational work with young people
Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu emphasised the need to increase the effectiveness of educational and awareness-raising efforts aimed at young people. He made this statement following a meeting of the Security Council chaired by President Vladimir Putin.
"Effectively promoting healthy value-based attitudes among the population requires clearly formulated principles and priorities in the area of state information policy," Shoigu stressed. He recalled that one of the main current objectives is to develop the Fundamentals of State Policy on Patriotic Education.
According to him, special attention should be paid to strengthening traditional spiritual and moral values. "Much remains to be done. It is necessary to continue working on the regulatory and legal framework and to ensure consistency across all strategic documents with the Fundamentals of State Policy for the Preservation and Strengthening of Traditional Russian Spiritual and Moral Values," the Secretary of the Security Council noted.
Sergei Shoigu also highlighted the role of the National Centre RUSSIA as a key platform for working with young people. "Improving upbringing policy requires an increase in the scope and an enhancement of the effectiveness of educational and awareness-raising work. In this regard, the National Centre RUSSIA can play a particularly important role as a key platform for promoting and advancing spiritual and moral values among young people," he said.
The meeting also addressed measures to safeguard historical memory and develop a consistent approach to patriotic education. According to Sergei Shoigu, the meeting was planned and focused on improving state policy in this field.
A large-scale gastronomic presentation dedicated to Russia Day took place on June 12 at the Gastronomic Rows of the National Centre RUSSIA.

Participants will learn about recently discovered historical artefacts and hear remarkable facts about the war.
