On December 8, the International RUSSIA EXPO will host the premiere screening of the documentary film "Thank You, Dear!" by ANO «Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements "Russia"» and RT TV channel.
The documentary by RTD TV channel author Dmitry Khrustalyov and director Ekaterina Kozhakina is the history of modern Russia through the eyes of the film’s heroes: doctors, teachers, construction workers, as well as cultural and sports figures. As part of the project, they returned for a few days to the regions — to their small homeland, where they were born, grew up or spent a significant part of their lives.
Each protagonist of the picture will give their answer to the question "Where does the Motherland begin?". Virtuoso Denis Matsuev, grandmaster Sergey Karjakin, singer Yaroslav Dronov (SHAMAN), figure skater Kamila Valieva, actor Yegor Beroev, cosmonaut Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and other stars will share memories of the past and discover the present — how their city, region and Russia as a whole have grown over a quarter of a century. With their own stories, they will prove that today’s Russia is a land of opportunity.
Kamila Valieva tests the M-12 Moscow-Kazan expressway: her family and friends live in the capital of Tatarstan. Kamila took her first steps on skates at a sports school in Kazan. Yaroslav Dronov (SHAMAN) returns to his native Tula region, which has now become a center of attraction for tourists from all over Russia. Denis Matsuev goes to his native Irkutsk to fulfill one girl’s dream — to meet her idol. Sergey Karjakin from the Crimea is traveling to the transformed Crimea, and then to Mariupol to meet the townspeople and play chess with them. Together with actor Egor Beroev viewers will walk around the capital of our Motherland and see how the old and the new Moscow coexist. Hero of Russia, acting cosmonaut Sergey Kud-Sverchkov goes to the youngest Russian cosmodrome Vostochny to show Russians the success of our country as a space power with a centuries-old tradition and focus on the future.
