A performance about the Nuremberg Trials, timed to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, will take place at the National Centre RUSSIA
The reenactment "The Nuremberg Verdict: Lessons of History for the Present and Future" will be held at the National Centre RUSSIA on May 6. This event, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory, will be presented by students of the Moscow State Linguistic University (MSLU) with the support of the Russian-Austrian forum "Sochi Dialogue" and the National Centre RUSSIA. The performance will take place in four languages with simultaneous translation from English, German, and French.
"The Nuremberg Verdict: Lessons of History for the Present and Future" is not just a theatrical performance, but a true journey through time. The audience will find themselves in the heart of historical events — in Hall 600 of the Palace of Justice in Nuremberg, where the landmark sessions of the international tribunal were held and the impartial guilty verdict was first delivered to the war criminals of Nazi Germany.
To fully immerse the audience in the era's atmosphere, the performance creators used unique archival materials: footage from documentary chronicles, fragments of historical films, and original documents from the Nuremberg Trials.
The performance poses profound and relevant questions to the audience: How do we preserve the memory of past tragedies, at what cost did humanity achieve victory over evil, and what responsibility for peace does each of us bear?
The year of the 80th anniversary of Victory gives the event special significance. On the eve of the anniversary, the National Centre RUSSIA and "Sochi Dialogue" are paying special attention to projects that remind us of the importance of historical truth and the price paid by generations for freedom and justice.
The performance begins at 17:00. Admission is free, but seating is limited. Pre-registration on the Russia.ru website is required. Be sure to register — keep an eye out for the opening of registration.
