Becoming co-authors of the future: best essayists took part in the presentation of the report following the Open Dialogue at the National Centre RUSSIA
The authors of essays on the future of the world, who shared their ideas as part of the First International Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth," participated in the presentation of the final report "Shaping a New Platform for Global Growth," prepared by the Centre for Cross-Sectoral Expertise "Third Rome." The event took place on June 16 at the National Centre RUSSIA.
A member of the Supervisory Board of Azersun Holding (Azerbaijan), Naila Mehrabova, expressed her gratitude to the National Centre RUSSIA for organising the Open Dialogue. According to her, the National Centre RUSSIA helps turn ideas into real solutions and innovations, without which economic development is impossible. She also expressed hope that the participants of the current and future dialogues would become co-authors of the vision of the future.
"For me, the Open Dialogue is a unique platform for communication where civic initiatives gain real power. It serves as a kind of social catalyst, where individual ideas and solutions can evolve into collective ones — from private initiatives to decisions that can scale up to the level of the entire country, or even the world. I very much hope that the participants of the Open Dialogue will have the opportunity to take part in collective decision-making, when their ideas can be transformed into innovations that will positively impact economic development. Once again, I would like to thank the National Centre RUSSIA for organising the Open Dialogue — a platform for shaping the vision of the future and transforming ideas into innovations," said Naila Mehrabova.
Naila Mehrabova's speech at the Open Dialogue was recognised as the most outstanding in the thematic track "Investments in Technology." She proposed creating a digital blockchain platform for export, logistics, and insurance, emphasising the need for transparent and accessible solutions for developing markets. According to the essayist, technologies such as blockchain, autonomous intelligent agents, and artificial intelligence can significantly simplify international trade, ensure security, and reduce costs.
Canadian economist Joseph Potvin was recognised as the most outstanding essayist in the thematic track "Investments in Connectivity." He presented an alternative monetary settlement system called Earth Reserve Assurance (ERA), linked to natural ecosystems. This sustainable currency system is backed by environmental restoration and operates alongside conventional currencies without requiring global reforms. New currency units are issued only after verification of projects that enhance ecosystem productivity for over 200 years. The value is determined by market auction and pegged to the ERiC index, which ensures stability.
"It is through international cooperation and dialogue that we can jointly create an adaptive, environmentally sustainable monetary system based on shared principles while remaining multipolar and pluralistic. This is one of the main reasons I chose to take part in the Open Dialogue. I would like to thank the organisers and everyone who makes such events possible," noted Joseph Potvin.
The Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth," which resulted in the report "Shaping a New Platform for Global Growth," was held from April 28 to 30 at the National Centre RUSSIA and brought together over a hundred guests from 48 countries.
