One hundred years ago Lenin opened the equivalent of the modern RUSSIA EXPO
On November 4, the International RUSSIA EXPO will start its work at the VDNH in Moscow. The forum’s directorate reminded of a symbolic coincidence: exactly one hundred years ago, in 1923, Vladimir Lenin welcomed the participants of the first All-Russian Agricultural and Artisanal-Industrial Exposition, which was held on the current territory of Gorky Park.
"I attach great importance to the exposition; I am sure that all organizations will give it their full assistance. I heartily wish it the best success", — emphasized the leader of the proletariat.
This year’s RUSSIA EXPO will also present all sectors of the economy, including agrarian sphere, industry and even traditional crafts. Products of folk crafts will be offered at the Fair. All Russian regions, authorities, corporations and public associations, as well as representatives of foreign countries will take part in the forum. History and cultural heritage will also be given special attention — they are important for the development of the tourism sector.
Prominent state and public figures evaluated projects presented by 112 contestants.
