Wedding festival at the National Centre RUSSIA to unite couples and national traditions
Deputy
Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA, Anastasia Zvyagina, spoke about
the upcoming second All-Russian Wedding Festival "Russia. Uniting
Hearts," which will take place at the National Centre RUSSIA from July 8
to 10, 2025.
"It is
here, at the National Centre RUSSIA, that couples in love will say 'I do' to
each other. We will see wedding traditions from various regions — from costumes
to cuisine. Guests can attend workshops and public talks where experts from the
wedding industry will share how weddings were held in old Russia, how they take
place today, and reflect on what weddings might look like in the future,"
said Anastasia Zvyagina.
The
festival will also feature a large-scale concert programme with performances by
stars of the Russian music scene. In the Gastronomic Rows, visitors will be
able to try traditional wedding dishes from different regions of the country,
and Russia's leading designers will present collections of contemporary wedding
fashion.
Anastasia
Zvyagina emphasised that the outfits of all couples getting married as part of
the festival must include elements of national costume.
After the
official ceremonies, newlyweds will have the opportunity to take part in a
prize draw for a journey along special tourist routes and continue exploring
Russia’s cultural traditions.
According
to Anastasia Zvyagina, last year’s festival, held as part of the International
RUSSIA EXPO, received overwhelmingly positive feedback — guests asked for the
event to be held again. Applications for July 8 are now closed. To get married
on July 9, couples must apply by June 8 inclusive.
Applications
with photographs can be submitted via the official website of the National
Centre RUSSIA, the "Gosuslugi" portal, or by sending documents via
email to the Moscow Civil Registry Office (zags@mos.ru). The selection of
participants will be conducted on a competitive basis by a joint commission of
the Moscow Civil Registry Office and the National Centre RUSSIA.
The participants got the idea that ordinary household waste can become an unusual material for creativity.
On June 26, the annual final meeting of the Board of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) was held at the National Centre RUSSIA.
A panel discussion of the EISI "Video games as a tool for teaching values and protecting historical memory" was held at the National Centre RUSSIA.
