TULA REGION, 11:30 - 13:00

Rasstegai with fish and Tula samovar tea

The program: Folk Choir of Tula College of Arts named after A.S. Dargomyzhsky, musical performance "Puppet Wedding" with the use of local dialect accompanied by authentic musical instruments (balalaika, Tula squeezebox).

LIPETSK REGION, 13:00 - 13:30

Wedding loaf in the Lipetsk tradition. Presentation from the Limak company, masters of bakery and flour-milling enterprises of the Lipetsk region.

BRYANSK REGION, 14:00 - 15:00

The Bryansk region wedding table, culinary masterclasses and tastings

Wedding traditions and treats of the Tver region. Maxim Syrnikov, historian of Russian cuisine, author of books, brand-chef of Russian cuisine stores "Dobryanka", host of culinary programs on TV channel "Spas".

- Kashin - the city of the Russian heart and the capital of porridge

No holiday or festive event in Russia could do without porridge or kasha in Russian. We will tell you where the Russian expression "to make porridge" came from. For example, about the wedding of Alexander Nevsky which had the following description: "The Prince was married in Trinity, one porridge was made there, and another one was made in Novgorod". That's what a wedding feast was called - porridge (kasha).

- Arina Rodionovna's red pancakes "with gooseberry jam".

In the Russian wedding ritual tradition the symbolism of "red", festive pancakes is manifested in episodes of farewell of the bride to her friends and her former, maiden life. In the Tver region such pancakes, called "opekushi", were served to the bride during the bridal shower on the eve of the wedding.
