"You won’t see anything like this anywhere else": People’s Artist Alexander Vetrov on "The Nutcracker" at the National Centre
The
National Centre RUSSIA hosted the grand premiere of a new version of the ballet
"The Nutcracker." Its distinguishing feature is modern multimedia sets.
Thanks to special effects and animation, the classic production has taken on a
new light. The festive premiere was attended by choreographer and teacher,
soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre Ballet from 1979 to 1997, Merited Artist of the
RSFSR, and People's Artist of Russia, Alexander Vetrov.
"When
we say New Year, we immediately think of the New Year tree, Ded Moroz, and, of
course, the ballet 'The Nutcracker.' Therefore, I congratulate both children
and their parents who came to this wonderful performance. It is performed by
outstanding artists, particularly those from the Bolshoi Theatre Ballet. And
special thanks go to the National Centre RUSSIA for organizing all this. The
performance is simply remarkable — with multimedia sets, the likes of which
cannot be seen anywhere else," shared Alexander Vetrov.
The first
viewers have already had the chance to enjoy the performance and were delighted
by what they saw. Guests of the National Centre noted the multimedia component,
the dynamic storyline, and the intriguing ending — the finale of the production
turned out to be a real surprise.
The
National Centre RUSSIA was established by order of the President of the Russian
Federation, Vladimir Putin, to preserve the legacy of the International RUSSIA
