Tatyana Kurtukova to headline the opening of the National Centre RUSSIA in Ryazan
Renowned Russian singer and performer of folk and original songs Tatyana Kurtukova will perform at the opening of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Ryazan Region. The concert will be part of the "Time to Be Together" cultural programme, which will also include a flag procession, a theatrical performance, a mass khorovod and a multimedia show on the building's facade.
The National Centre RUSSIA in Ryazan will open on 5 October 2026. The branch will become the first space of its kind in the Central Federal District and the fourth in Russia, as well as a new attraction for residents and visitors to the region. The artistic and theatrical programme dedicated to the opening of the branch explores the idea of unity as the foundation of Russia's historical resilience, showing how people overcome challenges together, preserve traditions and culture, and create the future.
The central part of the ceremony will be built thematically around the word "RUSSIA". Each letter will become a separate chapter in the overall story of the country — from love for the Motherland and pride in one's home region to each person's individual contribution to its future. The programme will feature the duo NANSI & SIDOROV, beatboxer and musician Vakhtang, the Gzhel Moscow State Academic Dance Theatre, the Alexandrov Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army, and performers and creative groups from the Ryazan Region.
The letter "R" in the word "RUSSIA" (in Russian) stands for the Motherland. The episode will present Russia as a shared home where people are united by history, traditions and love for their country. The letter "U" represents the thematic section "About the Region", focusing on the Ryazan Region, its history, nature, culture and unique folk crafts. The first "S" stands for "Strength": an episode about defenders of the Motherland from different generations — from veterans of the Great Patriotic War to participants in the special military operation and cadets of a military school. The second "S" represents family and the country's traditional family values. During the performance, Ryazan families from different generations will take the stage, embodying the continuity of family traditions. The central idea of the performance will be "Russia — a family of families", echoing the words of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
The letter "I" is associated with art. Guests will see classical art — poetry, opera and ballet — brought together with contemporary musical rhythms and choreography in a single performance. The word "RUSSIA" concludes with the letter "A". The episode "I Am Russia" will bring together all the themes of the concert and artistic programme: love for the Motherland, pride in one's region, the connection between generations, and the value of family and culture, emphasising the central idea that every person contributes to the country's development through their work and care for loved ones.
The performance will conclude with a large khorovod in the square in front of the stage, which the audience will be able to join. The culmination of the cultural programme will be a concert by renowned performer of folk and original songs Tatyana Kurtukova. Her hits have become a cultural phenomenon and won the affection of listeners across generations. The evening will conclude with a light show telling the story of key chapters in Russia's history and the Ryazan Region's contribution to the country's development.
The new space is located at 26 Oksky Proyezd, Ryazan, within walking distance of the Ryazan Kremlin and the Ryazan VDNH. It will become part of a major pedestrian tourist route connecting historical sites, public spaces and the city's key attractions. The programme for the branch's festive opening is available on the website and on the social media accounts of the National Centre RUSSIA branch in the Ryazan Region: MAX, VK, Odnoklassniki and Telegram.
