Theatre of Symbols: a colorful performance set the tone for the new exposition "Region-2030. The Platform of the Future" at the National Centre RUSSIA
The opening of the new exposition "Region-2030. The Platform of the Future" took place at the National Centre RUSSIA. The
exposition presents strategic projects and prospects for the development of the
country's regions, as well as advanced developments and innovative products of
Russian export companies. As part of the opening, a theatrical programme and a
dance flash mob were held.
The theatrical performance took place on the platform near a
full-size model of the legendary experimental high-speed locomotive 2-3-2B,
installed in the middle of the display. The legendary steam locomotive from the
Soviet past embodies the symbol of progress, energy and changes for the better
for the whole of Russia.
Fundamental
breakthroughs in science and technology made by Russian scientists and
engineers from different epochs, key achievements in art and sports, national
traditions of inhabitants of the regions, as well as youth and children — in
short, everything that serves as the basis for Russia's confident movement forward,
were “invited” to make a trip to the future. The programme ended with a
symbolic dance flash mob using a song "Beautiful Faraway" using as a
music background. As we know, this song was played for the first time in the
famous film "Guest From the Future".
The first seven regions presented at the exposition
"Region-2030. Platform of the Future" are: the Republic of Dagestan,
the Amur, Voronezh, Chelyabinsk and Tula regions, the Jewish Autonomous region
and the Nenets Autonomous Area. Each of them has prepared a stand combining
modern multimedia technologies with authentic historical artifacts. Guests can
get acquainted with the main achievements of each region, take a virtual tour
of its large and small cities, try themselves in the professions of the future,
swim across a virtual river, and even launch a rocket from a cosmodrome.
At the exposition, there will run a string of thematic
weeks, and each week will be dedicated to each of the regions represented.
Presentations, workshops, performances by creative groups, lectures,
gastronomic performances and other events are waiting for guests.
The exposition "Region-2030. The Platform of the Future
will open to visitors on 2 September. Admission is free upon prior registration
on the website russia.ru.
