The warmth of the family hearth: wooden talismans from a Moscow family of craftsmen at the Department Store
One of the
main goals of establishing the National Centre RUSSIA is to promote traditional
values, among which family holds a central place. Souvenirs from a family of
craftsmen in Moscow, presented in the Department Store space, will help
emphasize the warmth of the family hearth.
The Matwood
souvenir brand from the capital is represented by Dmitri Matveyev, his wife,
and their son. Together, they craft charming wooden animal figurines with
warmth and love. These unique artistic compositions symbolize family values —
everything that is close to the heart, cherished, and worth living for.
Everyone
can choose a design that resonates with their family. For instance, the
souvenir "Three Bears in a Fir Tree" features a loving bear couple
with their cub, standing still as they await a falling star from the sky.
Meanwhile, the tail of the family leader in the gift set "A Family of
Three Whales" is beautifully adorned with a bright heart.
For their
work, the craftsmen select valuable types of wood, including oak, maple, and
ash. Their "talisman" compositions are available for large families
of four or more members, as well as for young couples just beginning their journey
together.
The Department Store space in the National Centre RUSSIA is a territory of unique products and traditional crafts from across the country. Here, visitors will find original jewelry and souvenirs, confectionery, home textiles, tableware, and much more. The National Centre RUSSIA welcomes guests daily, except Mondays, from 10:00 to 20:00.
This unique project, implemented in the format of an interactive tour, invites children to embark on an unforgettable journey across the regions of the country.
On 6 January, a showing of the multi-genre performance "Morozko" took place at the National Centre RUSSIA. It was held for guests and veterans of the special military operation who participate.
The touching event took place as part of the nationwide "New Year Tree of Wishes" campaign.
