Restoration technologies of the cultural heritage to be presented at the National Centre RUSSIA
The National Centre RUSSIA invites guests to the event "Restoring the lost: the restoration of masterpieces and the role of AI in reviving lost heritage," which will take place on August 21 at 19:00. The discussion will focus on modern restoration technologies and innovative methods for preserving cultural heritage.
Visitors will learn about the complex restoration processes that usually remain hidden from the public eye, and how advanced technologies are helping bring lost masterpieces back to life. Experts will also speak about the latest achievements in digital restoration and the potential of artificial intelligence in heritage preservation.
The talk will be moderated by Yulia Loginova, Deputy Chair of the Russian Association of Restorers, Deputy President of the Union of Restorers of Russia, and Deputy Head of the Moscow Department of Cultural Heritage.
Speakers include:
— Dmitry Antonov, Director of the State Research Institute of Restoration;
— Irina Guruleva, Deputy Head of the Department of Scientific Restoration and Conservation at the State Hermitage Museum, second-category graphic art conservator, and PhD in Art History.
