Traditions and cultural legacy: the "Make a Wish" tour at the National Centre
The
National Centre RUSSIA offers fascinating tours that provide guests with an
opportunity to learn more about culture, traditions, and the future while
immersing themselves in the festive atmosphere. One such tour is "Make aWish," which introduces participants to New Year's traditions from various
regions of Russia, the country's cultural legacy, the dreams of visionaries,
and groundbreaking inventions.
The tour
starts at the main entrance, where eight vibrant New Year trees are decorated
in the style of symbols and traditions from Russia's federal districts. Here,
visitors can admire Russian nesting dolls, lace patterns, Northern gingerbread,
Ural gemstones, Caucasian golden embroidery, Southern fruits, and depictions of
animals and nature from Siberia and the Far East. The guide will share stories
about how crafts are passed down through generations and the rich cultural
legacy of multicultural Russia.
The tour
then continues into the exposition halls of the National Centre. Guests will
visit the Library of the Future to explore how visionaries imagined the world
of tomorrow. The next stop is the Hall of Inventions, showcasing how fantasies
turned into reality. The tour concludes at the "Legacy for the
Future" exposition, featuring works by young artists from various
countries.
The
National Centre RUSSIA was established by order of the President of the Russian
Federation, Vladimir Putin, to preserve the legacy of the International RUSSIA
EXPO and to showcase the achievements of the country and its citizens on a
permanent basis. Federal government agencies, state companies, corporations,
and regions take part in the Centre’s work.
