Three days to go until the opening of the Department Store RUSSIA stand at the International Industrial Trade Fair "INNOPROM. Central Asia"
In just three days, on 20 April, the International
Industrial Trade Fair "INNOPROM. Central Asia" will open in the
capital of Uzbekistan — Tashkent. For the first time, the National Centre
RUSSIA will take part in an international event abroad and present one of its
flagship projects — the Department Store RUSSIA. The stand will showcase
products from domestic manufacturers representing different regions of the
country.
The Department Store exposition will be dedicated to the
image of merchant culture — a symbolic intertwining of cultures and peoples.
Decorative elements of the stand (window shutters, a tiled roof, regional
patterns, beads and natural materials) will reflect the richness and vast
cultural heritage of the country’s regions. The use of ornaments and decorative
compositions will also demonstrate the cultural affinity between Russia and
Uzbekistan.
The Department Store RUSSIA stand will feature products
across six categories: "Delicacies", "Accessories",
"Folk Arts and Crafts", "Cosmetics", "Tableware"
and a special clothing collection featuring quotations by the President of the
Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. In total, products from more than 50
manufacturers from across Russia’s regions will be presented, creating a space
filled with history, meaning and impressions.
A series of events dedicated to showcasing regional crafts
will take place within the Department Store space.
On 20 April, from 11:00 to 13:00 *, a master from the
Orenburg Region will demonstrate the process of making the Orenburg down shawl
— a symbol of delicacy and refinement. These light, lace-like items have
inspired admiration for centuries.
From 13:00 to 15:00 *, visitors will be introduced to the
technique of painting the Dymkovo toy, a craft that is the pride of the Kirov
Region and has a history of more than four centuries.
The day’s programme will conclude with a demonstration of
sewing a fur ornamented bag. From 15:00 to 17:00 *, a master from the
Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area — Yugra will show how traditional leather items
are created.
A business programme will also take place on 20 April. At
15:30 *, in the "Samarkand" hall, the panel discussion "Dialogue
of Generations: Tradition as a Fashion Trend", with the National Centre
RUSSIA as a partner, will explore how cultural identity influences product
competitiveness, the export potential of tradition-based goods and how they can
be used to build international dialogue.

indigenous peoples of the North requires meticulous manual work.

once again present the technique of painting the Dymkovo toy.
See you in Uzbekistan!
