Maria Zakharova: experts from around the world to discuss the future of global growth at the National Centre RUSSIA
Experts from around the world will once again gather at the
National Centre RUSSIA to discuss the future of the global economy and
development. From 27 to 29 April, the venue will host the II Open Dialogue" The Future of the World. A New Platform for Global Growth". This was
announced during a briefing by Maria Zakharova, Director of the Information and
Press Department and Official Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
of Russia.
"The second Open Dialogue 'The Future of the World. A
New Platform for Global Growth' will be held at the National Centre RUSSIA
together with the Centre for Cross-Industry Expertise 'Third Rome', with the
support of the Presidential Executive Office of Russia and the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of Russia. Let me remind you that the Open Dialogue is an
international platform for discussing the future of the global economy,
bringing together recognised experts, representatives of science, the economy,
business and the managerial community, as well as all those interested in
presenting their vision of the future world order and proposing solutions to
global challenges. The initiative has received support at the highest level:
the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, has emphasised its
importance for shaping a new global model of growth," said Maria
Zakharova.
She noted that more than 1,600 submissions were received as
part of the application campaign. All of them were written across four thematic
areas: Investments in Human Capital, Investments in Environment, Investments in
Technology and Investments in Connectivity. Following the results of the essay
contest, 100 authors were selected to participate in person at the National
Centre RUSSIA.
"The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential
Executive Office of Russia, Maxim Oreshkin, will also take part in the second
Open Dialogue. The programme includes presentations of authors' ideas in
session format, lectures by international speakers, as well as an extensive
youth cultural programme," the Official Representative of the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of Russia added.
An important feature of the Open Dialogue is the principle
of continuity: essayists from previous years will act as experts and jury
members. This creates a distinct intellectual community in which participants
not only present ideas but, over time, become their advocates.
