Komi will demonstrate its tourism potential and national dishes at the exposition
The winners of the tour vouchers drawing organized by the representatives of the region’s tourism business will be able to get acquainted with the unique places of the republic.
A 110 square meter site has been assigned to the Komi Republic for the exposition at the International RUSSIA EXPO.
The concept of the region’s exposition has already been finalized. December 19, 2023 has been set as the Day of the Region for the Komi Republic.
The framework of the Day of the region, which will be opened by the head of Komi Vladimir Uiba, will include business, educational and cultural programs, a festival of gastronomic traditions.
A joint concert of the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the Komi Republic named after Viktor Morozov "Asya Kya" is scheduled as part of the cultural program.
The business program, in particular, will include meetings with famous people who lived or were born in the Komi Republic, presentation of the region’s tourism potential by tour business entities for federal tour operators with a drawing of tour vouchers.
There will also be master classes in the sphere of production of folk arts and crafts and souvenirs, presentation of projects and products of small innovative enterprises of the Komi Republic.
A working meeting is planned on the site of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia with the participation of representatives of manufacturers of wooden house building in Komi.
The educational program will feature the region’s achievements in various spheres of life. Visitors of the exposition will get acquainted with outstanding residents of the republic, who play a leading role in the development of its economic, scientific and educational potential.
The regional cuisine will be represented by national dishes, among which are salad made of milk mushrooms, venison stroganina (slices of frozen meat), Komi shanga (type of pastry).
Interesting facts about the unique nature of the Komi Republic will also be presented. School forestry organizations will hold presentations and master classes on making an exclusive Christmas tree.
A forum on improving labour productivity will take place on 19 May at the National Centre RUSSIA in Krasnoyarsk.
At the 10th Russian-Chinese EXPO in Harbin, the National Centre RUSSIA presented a model of its new building, which is scheduled to open in November 2029.
A working meeting was held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to the People's Republic of China, Igor Morgulov, and Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA, Natalia Virtuozova.
