Tourism, sports and creativity: "Bashkir Longevity"
The "Bashkir Longevity" project was presented in the pavilion of the Russian Ministry of Labor "Family. Work. Longevity" at the International RUSSIA EXPO.
The initiative of the head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov is aimed at improving the quality of life of pensioners through various support measures.
"The "Bashkir Longevity" project is aimed at making people live a long, high-quality and good life. This is the right thing to do and is useful for everyone", — emphasized Lenara Ivanova, Minister of Family, Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
There are seven directions in the project in total - health, education, tourism, physical culture, creativity, volunteering and employment. The most popular of them is "Bashkir Longevity. Tourism" - more than 28 thousand people took part in it.This includes, among other things, one-day tours around the Republic. Since 2023, the project has reached the international level: Bashkortostan cooperates with Belarus and Abkhazia in this field. In addition to tourism, conditions for sports and creative activities are provided for pensioners, and medicine is made more accessible - mobile teams of doctors operate in the Republic, and medical examinations are conducted. Moreover, people of pre-retirement age are provided with vocational training.
The "Bashkir Longevity" project was launched by the head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov in 2020. In three years, the event has become popular among representatives of the senior generation and now brings together more than 250,000 people.
The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place. During the whole period of the Exposition, guests are welcomed with cultural and entertainment events, a rich business and educational program. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors. The International RUSSIA EXPO is held at VDNH in Moscow from November 4, 2023 to April 12, 2024.
