The millennium of Suzdal and the highway to the East: Vladimir Region Day at the RUSSIA EXPO
The millennium of Suzdal and the completion of a large-scale highway — the M-12 Vostok (East) motorway — these events became the main highlights of the region’s presentation at the RUSSIA EXPO.
Suzdal and Vladimir are the central points of the world-famous tourist route Golden Ring of Russia. The region has emphasized the development of tourist infrastructure, including for auto-tourists, caravaners. Governor Alexander Avdeev spoke about the prospects of the region.
"We are very grateful to our President for the initiative to hold the International RUSSIA EXPO, because every region can introduce here its history and its present, as well as look into the future. So we are happy to share the things we know, appreciate and love about our region and the direction we are heading", — Alexander Avdeev said.
On the Day of the Region, another record was registered at the Exposition — masters made Pokrovsky gingerbread with the size of 2 by 3 meters. The gingerbread is unique not only for its size, but also for its painting — the pictures on the improvised culinary canvas of six square meters tell about the beauty of the Vladimir region.
In addition, on the Day of the Vladimir Region, the guests of the RUSSIA EXPO got acquainted with the horses of the Vladimir Heavy Horse breed and had an opportunity to ride them.
During the day the guests will be treated to performances by the state vocal and choreographic ensemble Rus' named after M. N. Firsov, the ensemble Vladimir Horn Players, the Vladimir Governor’s Symphony Orchestra with young soloists — winners of all-Russian and international competitions, laureates of the New Names Fund, the Chamber String Orchestra, Roman Miroshnichenko and other artists and bands.
The final panel pitching session for the "Investments in Connectivity" track took place on 29 April at the National Centre RUSSIA.
On the second day of the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth" the most remarkable essays submitted by authors in each track were presented.
The topic "Investments in Human Capital" attracted the largest number of essays from around the world, becoming one of the most in-demand themes within the framework of the Open Dialogue.
