Participants of the "Austrian Holidays" visited the "Journey Across Russia" exposition at the National Centre RUSSIA
On April 17, participants of the "Austrian Holidays" programme visited the National Centre RUSSIA. The project is being implemented by the Russian-Austrian public forum "Sochi Dialogue" as part of the promotion of the Russian language and the cultures of the peoples of Russia. At the National Centre RUSSIA, students from Austria explored the large-scale exposition "Journey Across Russia."
The tour group included 12 students and teachers from Klagenfurt. Within an hour, the guests managed to explore all federal districts of our country.
"The impression is very vivid. We didn’t even have enough time to see everything. Everything was interesting. We came to Russia as part of the 'Sochi Dialogue.' I was especially impressed by the displays in the zone dedicated to Sochi at the exposition. I was in Sochi myself in 2018 during the championship, and today it was fascinating to see how it is represented at the exposition," shared Hannes, a student from Austria.
Student Anna was impressed by the interactive exhibit — a mine cart in the location dedicated to Kuzbass in the "Journey Across Russia" exposition.
"It's really great at your centre. I really enjoyed the interactive exhibit where we rode along the rails. And I liked it when we took pictures with the antique figures. As part of the 'Sochi Dialogue,' we’re communicating with students from Moscow. It was very interesting to talk to them because we were practicing proper Russian, and that’s really fascinating. We told each other about ourselves — where we study, what profession we’re pursuing, and who we want to become," said student Anna.
Student Marie is originally from the Czech Republic and studies in Austria. At the exposition in the National Centre RUSSIA, she especially enjoyed the North Caucasian Federal District.
"'Sochi Dialogue' invited us to Moscow. We study the Russian language, and we were invited by the university to visit Moscow, learn about the culture, and take part in an international dialogue. At the National Centre RUSSIA, we saw the whole of Russia today — everything is beautifully and interestingly done. We were very surprised. I really liked the Caucasus location," noted Marie.
The "Journey Across Russia" exposition showcases the cultural, natural, and historical landmarks, key achievements, and innovative developments of all federal districts of the country. Admission to the exposition is free as part of guided tours, which are formed by prior registration on the website russia.ru in the "Events" section.
The meeting was a continuation of the dialogue that began during the round table "Tour Operators Congress."
