Participants of the World Youth Festival’s birthday visited guided tours at the National Centre RUSSIA
On April 16, more than one hundred Russian and international guests celebrating the birthday of the World Youth Festival took part in guided tours at the National Centre RUSSIA. The Centre’s guides introduced them to the unique features of all federal districts of the country, their cultural legacy, traditions, and economic potential, as well as the history of Russian architecture from ancient times to the present day. Tours for international participants were conducted in English.
The guests of the National Centre visited the architectural exposition "The Birth of Scale," where they discovered the evolution and diversity of Russian architecture. The visitors were shown the legacy of the industry through models ranging from traditional wooden structures to modern skyscrapers. The exposition features both original display items from the National Centre RUSSIA and items provided by museums and private collectors across the country.
Participants of the World Youth Festival also visited the exposition "Journey Across Russia." They highly appreciated the innovative technologies — VR, video content, infographics, and photo zones — which offer a full immersion into the atmosphere of traveling across Russia in just an hour and a half.
To conclude their visit, the guests explored the assortment of the Department Store of the National Centre and enjoyed multinational Russian cuisine at the Gastronomic Rows.
The exposition "Journey Across Russia" showcases the cultural, natural, and historical landmarks, major achievements, and innovative developments of all federal districts of the country. Admission to the exposition is free as part of guided tour groups, which are formed through prior registration on the website russia.ru in the "Events" section.
The exposition "The Birth of Scale" at the National Centre RUSSIA presents both completed architectural projects and ideas that remained only as concepts. The exposition includes original exhibits from the National Centre RUSSIA as well as items provided by museums and private collectors across the country.
Partners of the exposition "The Birth of Scale" include DOM.RF, the Ministry of Construction of Russia, Gazprom, the State Research Museum of Architecture named after A.V. Shchusev, the Russian State Archive of Literature and Art, the Yakov Chernikhov Architectural Charity Foundation, and the HSE University School of Design.
