Participants of the II Wedding Festival explored the culture and traditions of Kirov
Anna and Danila, participants of the II All-Russian Wedding Festival held at the National Centre RUSSIA in July, travelled to Kirov. The young doctors from Ryazan — the New Year Capital of Russia 2026 — were offered a rich programme that enabled them to immerse themselves fully in the city’s culture, traditions, and history and to discover its key landmarks.
"It is symbolic that our guests came from Ryazan, the New Year Capital of Russia 2026. Kirov successfully held this title in 2025, proving its ability to create a festive atmosphere. The programme for the newlyweds was designed to showcase the many facets of Kirov," said the Director of the Kirov Region Tourism Development Centre, Alexei Cheptsov.
Anna and Danila visited Kirov for the first time. They joined a guided walking tour and a tour of the "KRIN" loft space, visited the Khlynov History Museum and the Vyatka Art Museum named after V. M. and A. M. Vasnetsov. Highlights of the tour for the newlyweds included a master class in painting Dymkovo toys and attending the ballet "The Nutcracker" at the Kirov Drama Theatre.

You truly have an atmosphere that invites rest and relaxation. Kirov welcomed us with a real Russian winter, a breathtaking sunrise, and heartfelt hospitality!" Anna and Danila shared.
The development of domestic tourism remains one of the key priorities of the Government of the Kirov region. This was reported to the press service of the National Centre RUSSIA by the First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Kirov region, Alexei Zherdev.
"I am confident that positive feedback from our guests is the best recommendation for those choosing a tour to create a festive mood. The development of themed tours, as well as an event calendar, is one of the most important areas in the promotion strategy of the Kirov region, which is participating in the implementation of the new national project 'Tourism and Hospitality'," said Alexei Zherdev.
The II All-Russian Wedding Festival "Russia. Uniting Hearts" was held at the National Centre RUSSIA from 8 to 10 July. The event brought together more than 200 couples from across the country. In addition to ceremonial marriage registrations, the festival programme included themed public talks, gastronomic shows, master classes, pop music concerts, and other events.
The II Catherine Forum, dedicated to the integration of foreign nationals, the role of Russia in preserving traditional spiritual and moral values, and the historical legacy of Catherine II.
The award is held as part of the national project "Youth and Children". The organiser of the award is Rosmolodezh.
The event was held on 20 December at the National Centre RUSSIA as part of the II Catherine Forum.
