The latest lesson at the School of Young Guides at the National Centre RUSSIA was dedicated to the art of beautiful, confident, and dynamic speech. The practical lesson "The Power of Speech" was conducted by the instructor, radio host, announcer, and the official female voice of the National Centre RUSSIA, Natalia Selikhova.

"Speech is your tool, which will give you the opportunity to conduct tours in the best possible way, to speak convincingly with absolutely different people, from children's groups to the highest-ranking guests. And if you master your vocal apparatus and learn how to speak well, nothing will throw you off, and you will make a tremendous impression," shared Natalia Selikhova with the young guides.

Under the guidance of the teacher, the students of the Young Guide School performed articulation exercises, learned to change the tone of their voice, practiced basic breathing exercises by Strelnikova, and trained in the "Square Breathing" technique, which helps to cope with nervousness before any performance or even an exam. For homework, the students prepared a short self-presentation.

"The way you introduce yourself to your tourists determines a lot. It affects the first impression you make on the people who will spend time with you. Moreover, 30% of the mood of your group throughout the tour depends on how you start the tour, how confident and dynamic it will be, how charming you will be, including," noted Natalia Selikhova.

The School of Young Guides project launched at the National Centre RUSSIA on February 1 as a continuation of the tradition established at the International RUSSIA EXPO. The lessons are aimed at schoolchildren from Moscow and the Moscow region, aged 9 to 17. The educators of the project immerse the students in the world of history, art, nature, and technology, introduce them to the cultural heritage of the country, help refine speech techniques, and train public speaking skills. Upon completing the course, the young guides will conduct tours for the guests of the National Centre RUSSIA.
