Improving the condition of lakes, rivers, and reservoirs: meeting of the Federal Water Resources Agency collegium to be held at the National Centre RUSSIA
An extended meeting of the collegium of the Federal Water Resources Agency will take place at the National Centre RUSSIA on August 8. Industry experts will outline development directions for the organisation and Russia’s water management sector.
The main topic will be the implementation of the new federal project "Water of Russia," aimed at improving living conditions near water bodies for 23.2 million people by the end of 2030. It is carried out by order of President Vladimir Putin within the framework of the national project "Environmental Wellbeing" and includes construction and reconstruction of treatment facilities, clearing riverbeds and strengthening banks, as well as improving the condition of lakes and reservoirs.
The meeting will also discuss the restoration of rivers and lakes, the application of water-saving technologies, and prospects for the sector’s development.
The main speakers will be Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation Maxim Korolkov, and Head of the Federal Water Resources Agency Dmitry Kirillov.
Representatives of federal and regional executive authorities, central offices, territorial bodies and subordinate organisations of Rosvodresursy, heads of Russian Federation subjects, and other honoured guests will participate in the meeting.
