Unique collection of old children's drawings will be presented at the RUSSIA EXPO
The
present, the past and the future of the country through the eyes of children.
Unique archive works - children's drawings, some of which were created in the
early XX century - will be presented at the RUSSIA EXPO. The works vividly
illustrate the life of that time, details of everyday life, accurately observed
by young authors. Meanwhile, the drawings of today's schoolchildren are devoted
to the achievements of Russian scientists, cities of the future and space
exploration.
The
exposition Little Creators of a Great Motherland, which will be opened on
January 16 in the House of Culture of VDNH, includes 48 works from the
collection of the International Children's Drawing Collection of the Russian
Academy of Education and the works of the winners of the All-Russian Children's
Drawing Contest Russia of the Future.
"By
analyzing drawings of different years, it is possible not only to look through
the eyes of children at the past and future of our great Motherland, but also
to learn better what is interesting and concerning for a little person, how
they respond to various events and the world around them, how their aesthetic
perception is changing and their artistic abilities are developing", - said
Olga Yuryevna Vasilyeva, President of the Russian Academy of Education, Academician
of the RAE.
The
organizers invite everyone to take part in masterclasses. Visitors can learn
old techniques of painting matryoshka dolls and create a unique handicraft from
clay, get acquainted with the art technique "pointillism" and paint a
picture, as well as make musical instruments from improvised means and under
teacher's guidance play popular melodies on them.
The
exposition will be held in the House of Culture of VDNH (pavilion No. 84) from
