The Perm region stand presented the first Russian humanoid robot, Ardi, during the International RUSSIA EXPO.

"What we have seen in sci-fi movies not so long ago is now here - at the stand of the Kama region. Ardi has 600 facial micro-expressions, he can sing with emotion, knows a lot of poems by Perm authors and reads them with great pleasure. Both children and adults get a lot of emotions and impressions while visiting the Perm region, and the robot is also ready to take selfies with the guests of the stand", - Alexey Chernikov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Perm region, told about the development of Perm roboticists.

Ardi is a product of Double U Expo company and their partners based on the Robo-C humanoid robot. The development lasted about a year and is based on unique software with Motion Capture technology, which allows hyper-realistic reproduction of human facial expressions, emotions and gestures. A separate team of directors and screenwriters worked on the robot's scripts. Perm Ardi is the world's first mass-produced robot with such functionality, and the developers are ready to put its production on stream.

The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered at a single venue. Visitors will see expositions of all 89 regions of Russia, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations. Cultural and entertainment events, a rich business and educational program are also waiting for the guests. Representatives of federal authorities, major corporations and public associations will take part in the exposition.
