The Ussuri tiger has been chosen as a symbol of the branch of the National Centre RUSSIA in Primorye
The branch of the National Centre RUSSIA in Vladivostok has acquired a visual identity. The image of the Ussuri tiger, which embodies the strength and natural might of the region, became a distinctive sign of the branch. Its main color is a shade of the sea wave.
The Amur tiger, or Ussuri tiger, is one of the most recognizable inhabitants of the Ussuri taiga. This animal symbolizes Vladivostok and the Primorsky region, and stands as an element of their coats of arms. Besides, the tiger is revered in many Far Eastern cultures as a symbol of courage, longevity, power, leadership and protection. Its image now represents the region in the visual concept of the National Centre RUSSIA, and distinguishes it from other branches.
The chosen color embodies the depth and power of the sea, in which the sky reflects — a shaky line between the elements. It is complemented by a sandy hue, referring to the endless coast of the region. And the red colour highlights the kinship with the general style of the National Centre RUSSIA.
The logo of the National Centre RUSSIA and all its regional branches features a lion. The King of Beasts represents the revival of the national culture and the strong power of the country. A lion occupies a special place in Russian culture. The ancient legends, ancient church literature, architecture and decorative and applied arts are full of its images. The royal animal was also depicted on the seal of Ivan III.
Deep symbolism is also evident in the spelling of the word "Russia" in the logo. Each letter refers to an important historical epoch for the country: from Prince Vladimir to modern Russia, and demonstrates the inextricable link between the past and the future.
The branch of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorsky region will open in early September. The venue will feature an interactive exposition of the region, the Department Store selling local products, a gastronomic zone and a coworking space. The branch will also become a spot for business and socially significant events.
An excursion for veterans of the special military operation through the multimedia exposition "Journey Across Russia" took place at the National Centre RUSSIA.
