Memorial complexes of the Great Patriotic War, temples and monasteries, old manor houses and ruins from the tsar times. Everyone who cares about the history of their native country should definitely visit the Bryansk region. And you can learn more about this region and be inspired to travel at the RUSSIA EXPO.

Perhaps the first thing you notice at the stand of the Bryansk region is a model of a train, or rather the famous freight mainline diesel locomotive. They are produced only by the Bryansk Machine-Building Plant, the locomotive of the Russian industry. You can also see a partisan dugout at the stand. Researchers of the museum "Partisan Glade" prepared its model as authentically as possible, adding items of military life, equipment and shells found during excavations. The fact is that during the war about 60 thousand partisans fought against the German invaders. In the region, there is a Memorial Complex "Partisan Glade", which is located on the site of the first gathering of partisans in the fall of 1941.

In the Bryansk region, tourists should definitely visit the museum "Paleolithic" in the village of Yudinovo, Pogarsky district, which is called the Paleolithic Mecca. There are eight archaeological monuments here, including the settlement of ancient mammoth hunters, the age of which is 15 thousand years. You can feel yourself an archaeologist at the stand. There is an unusual activity for young guests - excavating a mammoth.

Also, at the RUSSIA EXPO you can learn where in the Bryansk region to look for landscapes that inspired artists Ilya Repin and Mikhail Vrubel. It turns out that in the village of Khotylevo there is an estate of Tyutchevs, which in 1888 was transferred to Prince Vyacheslav Teneshev. Famous artists visited him. Repin's landscape sketches from Khotylevo are now in the Tretyakov Gallery. And on Vrubel's painting "Pan" you can find the landscape seen from the house of the Teneshevs.

A visit to the Bryansk region is also worthwhile for the sake of seeing the largest airplane in the world - the famous AN-124 Ruslan. It is located at the military airfield Seshcha - tourists can see it on the Open Day. The guests of the region will even be able to sit in the cockpit and watch pilot demonstrations.
