A meeting with the cameraman Anatoly Zabolotsky, and public showing of the film "Life in the Profession" will take place at the National Centre RUSSIA on July 1. The master of the Soviet film industry is going to celebrate his 90th birthday. He took part in the filming of such famous motion pictures as "The Stoves and Benches" (Pechki-Lavochki in Russian) and "The Red Snowball Tree" (Kalina Krasnaya in Russian).
His documentary about the filming of legendary motion pictures and about the secrets of craftsmanship will be presented to the general public for the first time. After the show, viewers will be able to talk with Anatoly Zabolotsky, and ask him questions.
Anatoly Zabolotsky is a legend of cinematography, and one of the recognized masters of the Soviet cinema. He was born into an ordinary peasant family in the Krasnoyarsk Krai. His main dream was to become a cameraman. Zabolotsky was the closest colleague of the famous actor and film director Vasily Shukshin. He made 15 feature films and documentaries. He holds the deserved title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR.
