On Children’s Day, young "guides of meanings" of the Exposition conducted their first excursions
On June 1,
children of current tour guides of the International RUSSIA EXPO became guides
of the new thematic routes "The Future About the Future". All of them
are graduates of the "School of Young Tour Guide", a special project
of the RUSSIA EXPO and the program of Rosmolodezh "More than a Trip",
launched in the Year of the Family. Until June 9, excursions are waiting for
guests every hour, the place of group gathering is the information desk at the
entrance to Pavilion No. 75.
Training in
the "School of Young Tour Guide" started on May 12. Representatives
of the younger generation from 7 to 18 years old learned from their parents and
guides-mentors the skills of the profession, mastered the art of public
speaking and group work.
"The Future About the Future"
project is in line with the plan to achieve national goals, which is reflected
in the Decree of the Head of State Vladimir Putin. The initiative gives
children an opportunity to realize their potential and show their talents, to
love their Motherland even more deeply and to look with different eyes at their
parents, who acted as their professional mentors in the project.
"Today
at the Festival of Childhood and Youth, organized by our colleagues, the
Movement of the First, the young guides officially joined the ranks of 'guides
of meanings'. This means that the community becomes a space that strengthens
not only professional ties, but also family ties. In the project 'The Future
About the Future, children became even closer to their parents, they had an
opportunity to make a personal contribution to the work of the large-scale
RUSSIA EXPO. Not only practical skills are passed from generation to
generation, but also the understanding that Russia is a land of opportunities,
and this is very important for us," said Olesya Teterina, head of the
Rosmolodezh program "More than a Trip".
Deputy
Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko visited the
festival site on June 1. Young tour guides managed to share with them their
impressions of training and work at VDNH together with their parents.
"We
were inspired by the example of our parents and decided to become tour guides
too. At the classes we learned to compose interesting texts for the routes,
practiced public speaking, and discussed the role of "guides of
meanings" on a nationwide scale. I am a little nervous, but I am ready to
conduct excursions together with my dad, I invite you to join them," said
15-year-old Polina Artemenkova.
"This
is a wonderful project that unites the family by joint excursion work, gives
children the opportunity to discover their potential, allows them to find new
friends and find wise mentors," emphasized Polina's dad Evgeny Artemenkov.
It is
possible to look at the Exposition through the eyes of children on several
thematic tracks at once. For example, the excursion "Visiting a Fairy
Tale" gives an idea of folk tales and legends, taking visitors to the world
of magic and fantastic heroes, and the route "The Road to Space Starts on
Earth" introduces the history of exploration of extraterrestrial space and
bright domestic space projects. You can learn about the animals that live in
the Far North, in the seas or fresh water bodies of the middle zone of Russia,
as well as the life of dinosaurs on the excursion "Living World". In
addition, the tours "Treasures of the Russian Land" and
"Industry of Russia" as well as the "Flower Route" are
available for visits.
"This
is a very useful experience for my son Matvey. Participation in the project
fills young guides with pride for their country. I am grateful to the
organizers for a huge and invaluable contribution to the education of the
younger generation. "The Future About the Future" project is
informative, educational, didactic, uniting," said Irina Yarutich, mother
of a graduate of the "School of Young Tour Guide".
Today, 14
excursion routes are available to guests at the RUSSIA EXPO. Since May 18,
visitors can take part in the night quest "City of the Future, or in
Search of VDNHinspiration", which involves performing exciting tasks in
different locations of the Exposition, as well as join the immersive route
"Journey to the Future!" and plunge into the atmosphere of science
fiction films. The media route "Not Published — Never Happened!",
which will introduce the work of bloggers, opinion leaders and streamers, is
about to be launched. You can register and find out more at the link.
