The "Far Eastern Express" train began running on the Arbatsko–Pokrovskaya line of the Moscow Metro on 1 November. The themed train is dedicated to the Primorye branch of the National Centre RUSSIA, which opened in early September 2025. Passengers can admire the volcanoes of Kamchatka and the Vostochny Cosmodrome, discover the region’s cultural diversity, explore Far Eastern cuisine, and learn about opportunities for work and study.

The interior of one of the carriages introduces passengers to the National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye region, established on the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and opened in Vladivostok in September 2025. The branch hosts educational and cultural events, while its permanent exposition highlights the region’s history and natural wealth.

"The launch of the Far Eastern Express has become a good tradition. This year marks the eighth time the train has set off on its journey. The Far Eastern Express invites passengers of the Moscow Metro to travel across all 11 regions of the Far Eastern Federal District. We want to tell Muscovites and guests of the capital about the magnificent Far Eastern land — what makes it proud and famous, its stunning nature, and the strong people who live there. We want to show what large-scale projects are being implemented, what major enterprises are emerging, how Far Eastern cities are changing, and why people should come here to study, work and live. We invite everyone to discover the Far East," said Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev.

The first carriages present the achievements of the Far East, including 2,900 investment projects, new enterprises, and the development of the Northern Sea Route and transport infrastructure. The exposition also highlights the region’s contribution to Victory in the Great Patriotic War, support for the special military operation, and the work of local enterprises. The "Nature. Adventure. Air" carriage showcases natural landmarks, while "Ecology. Taste. Quality" focuses on the region’s gastronomy. Visitors can also learn about opportunities for education and employment in the Far East, urban development, as well as local technologies and products — from UAVs to green energy solutions.

"To truly love something, you need to experience it. Thanks to the Far Eastern Express, for eight years now we have been bringing the Far East closer to residents and guests of the capital. Each carriage presents the full range of opportunities for self-fulfilment created with government support in our unique Far Eastern regions. I am confident that passengers of the Far Eastern Express will not remain indifferent and will continue their journey through our region — at least as tourists. And some may choose more decisive changes: to link their lives with the Far East, to work, study and live on this remarkable land," said Director General of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation Nikolai Zapryagaev.

The project is implemented as part of the festival "Days of the Far Eastern Regions in Moscow". It introduces passengers to the unique potential of 11 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Some of the events are held at the National Centre RUSSIA. The exposition at the venue presents the region’s opportunities, focusing on education, personal development, socio-economic growth and tourism in the Far East.

Admission to the exposition and all programme events is free of charge. Some events require prior registration. For updates, visit the "Events" section on the official website of the National Centre RUSSIA at russia.ru.
