The National Centre hosted the presentation of the HSE Lyceum — Russia’s largest pre-university school
The National Centre RUSSIA hosted the third event of its educational project "Open School: Presentation of Best Practices." The teaching staff of the Lyceum of the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE University) presented their experience in implementing educational programs, innovative approaches, and new projects.
"In our new project 'Open School,' leading educational institutions share their best practices with teachers, parents, prospective students, and university students. Today, we see many young people in the audience, and our National Centre is open to you — you can always come here to learn something new and share your own stories. Let’s create the future together," said Anastasia Zvyagina, Deputy Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA, addressing the participants.
The HSE Lyceum is Russia's largest pre-university institution, founded in 2013 by the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE University) as part of the "Moscow Pre-University" project. It offers 10 fields of study, serves over 2,300 students, and employs 300 educators, including leading HSE faculty and renowned scholars. Since 2016, the Lyceum has been ranked among the top 20 schools in Moscow and, in 2024, topped the ranking of Russian schools for the sixth consecutive year based on the number of graduates admitted to the nation’s top universities.
"The primary mission and key objectives of our Lyceum are to help young people enter the academic space of the university, teach them to independently manage their education and life, operate in an environment of free choice, and take responsibility for society. Judging by our graduates' results, the Lyceum successfully fulfills this mission," said Valery Pazynin, Director of the HSE Lyceum.
During engaging interactive lectures, attendees learned about the Lyceum's unique educational formats tailored to contemporary challenges, economic phenomena, and its comprehensive approach to preparing students for various levels of academic competitions, particularly in economics. Participants also explored the Lyceum's project-based research initiatives, advancements in modern design, and its distinctive environment for creative endeavors. Additionally, they discovered how the Lyceum’s values serve as the foundation of its educational programs and even enjoyed a brief lesson in Chinese language.
The National Centre RUSSIA project, "Open School: Presentation of Best Practices," is a series of interactive lectures designed to foster the exchange of experiences and ideas among young educators, students, graduates of pedagogical universities, and interested parents. The next event in the series is scheduled for March and will focus on the Lyceum of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA).
The integration of special military operation veterans into peaceful life and the interaction between regions and municipalities were discussed as part of the Forum "SMALL HOMELAND – THE STRENGTH OF RUSSIA".
