Winners and laureates of the All-Russian competition "PRO Education — 2024" were honored at the National Centre RUSSIA
On December
6, a solemn award ceremony for the winners and laureates of the All-Russian
competition of journalistic works in the field of education, "PRO
Education — 2024," was held at the National Centre RUSSIA. In 2024, the
competition received 4,000 applications from 89 regions of Russia.
Minister of
Education of the Russian Federation Sergei Kravtsov sent his greetings to the
ceremony participants. He noted that the All-Russian competition "PRO
Education" has become a good tradition.
"For
over 20 years, the competition has brought together talented authors in the
field of educational journalism from across the country. You cover pressing
issues in education. Through your work, parents, teachers, and students learn
about the achievements of Russian schoolchildren in international Olympiads,
our best teachers, and much more. I thank all the participants for their
dedication and responsibility, as well as the objectivity and depth of their
materials. I wish you inspiration and success!" emphasized the Minister of
Education of Russia.
During the
award ceremony, the Director of the Department of External Communications and
Referent Services of the Ministry of Education of Russia, Irina Shilkina,
announced new developments in the All-Russian competition "PRO Education —
2024" and invited participants to contribute to the development of the
Education Development Strategy for the period up to 2036, with a prospect until
2040.
"This
year, we added new categories. Among them is the 'Pushkin's Quill' in honor of
the 225th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian poet Alexander
Sergeyevich Pushkin. We also made sure to include authors who publish materials
on education in the field of ecology, as this is one of the most pressing
topics of today. I would also like to thank the National Centre RUSSIA for
their help in organizing our ceremony. Furthermore, I would like to note that
we are currently working on the preparation of the Education Development
Strategy for the period up to 2036, with a perspective until 2040. We invite
you, esteemed experts, to participate in its development," said Irina
Shilkina.
The Chairman of the Committee on Information Policy, Information Technology, and Communications of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Acting Governor of the Kursk Region, Alexander Khinshtein, in his welcome speech, emphasized that the All-Russian competition "PRO Education" rightfully holds the title of the main event in educational journalism — all the submitted works aim to address the key issues of Russia's education system.
"The promptness and quality of the information provided, as well as on
keeping our citizens timely informed are crucial. Therefore, the development of
professional educational communication is a priority direction, which keeps all
issues of the information agenda in this field under control. The power of your
words, your materials, and projects confirm this! I congratulate my colleagues
on their victory in such an important and prestigious competition," said
Alexander Khinshtein in his congratulatory message.
The awards for the winners and laureates of
the competition in 19 categories were presented by Irina Shilkina, Director of
the Department of External Communications and the Referent Services of the
Ministry of Education of Russia; Natalia Agre, Director of the Department of
State Policy in the Field of Education, Additional Education, and Children's
Recreation at the Ministry of Education of Russia; Usman Rassukhanov, Director
of the Department of Integration of the National Education System and
International Cooperation at the Ministry of Education of Russia; and Anastasia
Zvyagina, Deputy Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA. She noted that
it is a great honor for the National Centre to host such a large-scale and
significant award, and also invited all the laureates to visit the Centre's
expositions.

us to host the winners of the 'PRO Education' competition of the Ministry of
Education — the best authors writing about education in Russia," said
Anastasia Zvyagina, Deputy Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA, addressing
the participants.
The host of
the ceremony was Russian actress of theatre and cinema, Olesya Fattakhova.
The works
of the participants were evaluated by the expert council. The main criteria
included social significance, accuracy and depth of coverage of issues in
vocational education, expressiveness of information presentation, and
compliance with modern journalistic standards.
The
All-Russian "PRO Education" competition is a platform for open
dialogue between the Ministry of Education of Russia and professional
journalistic teams and individual authors. It serves as a tool for expressing
public recognition of the achievements of regional and federal mass media,
journalists, and bloggers in covering and promoting the life of Russian
schools. The competition gives authors from media outlets, internet portals,
and blogs across Russia the opportunity to showcase their accomplishments.
The founder
and organizer of the competition is the Ministry of Education of the Russian
Federation, and the federal operator is the Centre for Educational Initiatives
of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
Partners of
the All-Russian Educational Journalism Competition "PRO Education"
include the ANO "Dialogue", the "Sferum" platform, PJSC
"Gazprom", the "Friends of St. Petersburg" project, the
Russian Environmental Operator, the "Big Three" company, the
Historical Park "Russia – My History", the O.K. Gavrilov Blood
Centre, and the "Prosveshchenie" Group of Companies.
The
National Centre RUSSIA was established by order of the President of the Russian
Federation, Vladimir Putin, to preserve the legacy of the International RUSSIA
EXPO and to showcase the achievements of the country and its citizens on a
permanent basis. Federal government agencies, state companies, corporations,
and regions take part in the Centre’s work.
The
National Centre RUSSIA is located at 14 Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment, Moscow.
The Centre is open from 10:00 to 20:00 every day except Monday.
