On December 27 at 14:00, the All-Russian Ded Moroz from Veliky Ustyug in the Vologda region will hold a children's press conference at the National Centre RUSSIA. The event is part of the "New Year Russia" program.

The meeting will be moderated by young actress and writer Nicole Plieva. Special guest of the program will be writer Alyona Kashura, author of the popular children's book "Attention! Ded Moroz Wanted."

During the press conference, the All-Russian Ded Moroz will answer questions from students in the audience, many of whom study in Moscow's media classes and are preparing for future careers in media. Children from the town of Kovdor in the Murmansk region, located 100 km from the Arctic Circle, will have the opportunity to ask questions via a video link. The best question from users of the social network VKontakte will also be chosen and posed to Ded Moroz.

The press conference will feature simultaneous sign language interpretation organized by the All-Russian Society of the Deaf. For the first time, the children's creative group of hearing-impaired children, "Angels of Hope," will present a music video for the song "White Snow" in sign language at the event.

At the end of the press conference, all participants will have the chance to taste a new pastry from the National Centre RUSSIA — the "vitushka." In addition, Ded Moroz will present the children with Vologda ice cream. The children will also receive "New Year Russia" postcards, which they can send to any destination in the world via a special mailbox located at the National Centre.

Schoolchildren who visit the National Centre RUSSIA will be able to participate in a contest for the best media material based on their visit and compete for the grand prize — a ticket to the ballet "The Nutcracker" with multimedia decorations at the National Centre.

The partners of the press conference include the Administration of the Vologda Region, the Administration of the Murmansk Region, the All-Russian Society of the Deaf, the Moscow Department of Education and Science, JSC Russian Post, and LLC Vologda Ice Cream.

The informational partner and official social network of the event is VKontakte. The press conference will be streamed on the VK Video platform.

The National Centre RUSSIA was established by order of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to preserve the legacy of the International RUSSIA EXPO and to showcase the achievements of the country and its citizens on a permanent basis. Federal government agencies, state companies, corporations, and regions take part in the Centre’s work.

The National Centre RUSSIA is located at 14 Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment, Moscow. The Centre is open from 10:00 to 20:00 every day except Monday
