A workshop titled "The Magic of Gzhel Painting" will be held at the National Centre RUSSIA

Guests of the National Centre RUSSIA will have the opportunity to explore the art of the Gzhel craft on Palm Sunday, April 13, as part of the "Lenten Meetings" series. The first event of the series will be the workshop "The Magic of Gzhel Painting."

Visitors will hear a lecture by Sergei Simonov, Chief Artist of the Gzhel Porcelain Factory and Merited Artist of Russia, and will also have the chance to paint their own Easter craft using traditional Gzhel techniques.

The event is organized by FHUB RUSSIA as part of the "New Year Trees of Russia" project with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.

Participation in the "Lenten Meetings" workshop is free of charge with prior registration on the website of the National Centre RUSSIA: russia.ru.

Fans of decorative arts are also invited to attend the following sessions: "The World of Khokhloma Painting" and "The Art of Zhostovo Painting."
