and volunteers of the Special Military Operation (SMO), combat veterans,
military correspondents, and distinguished figures of the country will speak
before the young audience.
The annual Znanie.Heroes Moscow forum, held for the third
consecutive year, serves as a continuation of large patriotic project
Znanie.Heroes which is organized by the Russian society Znanie from February of
2023 and will sum up the results of the events of nine regional forums. They
were conducted in Sevastopol, Nalchik, Ryazan, Luhansk, Khabarovsk, Kurgan,
Samara, Novosibirsk, and will end on December 5 in St. Petersburg.
On December 9, expert discussions will be streamed live on
Znanie.TV and the official VK Video platform of the Znanie society, ensuring
accessibility to a wider audience.
"On Heroes of the Fatherland Day, we honor those who
have performed acts of heroism in the name of Russia. We pay tribute to those
who serve the country and society through their dedication and hard work. Our
project is, on the one hand, a gesture of respect to heroes, and on the other,
a powerful tool for patriotic education. We provide young people with an
opportunity to hear contemporary heroes speak, ask them questions, and receive
meaningful answers. They learn stories of courage and bold deeds carried out
both on and off the battlefield. Such meetings offer young people new knowledge,
unforgettable experiences, inspiration, and, of course, motivation for their
own achievements," said Maxim Dreval, Director General of the Russian
society Znanie.
The forum Znanie.Heroes will be hosted by Russian statesman
and television journalist Yevgeny Popov and TV presenter Yulia Baranovskaya.
Participants can look forward to performances by People’s Artist of the Russian
Federation Oleg Gazmanov and singer Rodion Gazmanov. The sessions will feature
prominent figures such as Andrei Mityashin, a tank company commander, major,
and Hero of the Russian Federation; Akhra Avidzba, commander of the
international brigade Pyatnashka; NTV war correspondent Ilya Lyadvin; retired
special forces lieutenant colonel and songwriter Alexander Vanyushkin, known
for the song "333"; and musical performer Akim Apachev, among many others.
Also expected to attend are TV and radio host Vladimir
Solovyov, Chairman of the Movement of the First and Hero of the Russian
Federation Artur Orlov, war correspondent and documentary filmmaker Stanislav
Obishchenko, Channel One war correspondent Guseyn Guseynov, Merited Artist of
