A family master class "Paint Like Shishkin" at the National Centre RUSSIA
On January
12, the National Centre RUSSIA will host an educational master class for
participants of all ages titled "Paint Like Shishkin," as part of the
educational project "Masterpieces. The Best of Russia." The project
is organized by the National Centre RUSSIA in collaboration with the Ministry
of Culture of the Russian Federation and museums across the country.
In the
first part of the event, Natalia Anyk, an art historian from the State
Tretyakov Gallery and a lecturer at the "New Creative Workshops,"
will tell the audience about the life and work of the renowned Russian artist
Ivan Shishkin. Following this, under the guidance of Yelizaveta Andriyaka,
senior lecturer at the Academy of Watercolor and Fine Arts of Sergei Andriyaka,
participants will paint a snow-covered pine inspired by Shishkin's famous
painting "In the Wild North."
As part of
the project "Masterpieces. The Best of Russia," the National Centre
RUSSIA has already hosted master classes dedicated to the works of celebrated
Russian artists Karl Bryullov and Viktor Vasnetsov.
