A concert dedicated to the Republic of Dagestan Days was held at the National Centre RUSSIA
On 4 September, the concert "My Dagestan — My Russia" took place at the National Centre RUSSIA as part of the exposition "Region-2030. Platform of the Future". The event was held during the Republic of Dagestan Days and became part of the region’s cultural programme.
Soloists and creative groups from the republic performed both folk and modern works. Among the performers were the folk choreographic ensemble "Echo of the Mountains", the children's and youth dance ensemble "Vatan", soloist of the Dagestan Philharmonic Society Zulfiya Arkhilayeva, choirmaster of the State Men's Choir "Singing Charoda" Madina Shakhmuradova, Honoured Artist of the Republic of Dagestan Khirindu Sultanova, and others.
The audience warmly appreciated the national dances as well as the rich palette of sounds of folk instruments.
"It was a wonderful journey into Dagestan’s culture, and in the very centre of Moscow. The impressions are the most joyful: I was able to feel both the depth of folk songs and the beauty of national costumes," said Mikhail from the Moscow region in his interview with the press service of the National Centre RUSSIA.
The programme also included a wedding dress show by the Arshayev family brand. The designers presented an interpretation of traditional motifs in a modern style.
"The interpretation of folk traditions in the wedding dress show created by contemporary designers was simply striking. Such a combination clearly proves that ancient culture is still relevant," noted Anna, a guest of the concert.
The Days of the Republic of Dagestan are being held at the exposition "Region 2030. Platform of the Future" from 2 to 7 September. As part of the programme, visitors can get acquainted with the region’s culture, taste national dishes, attend lectures and workshops, and purchase goods from local producers at the Department Store.
