The VI Eurasian Aerospace Congress took place at the National Centre RUSSIA
On November 12, the VI Eurasian Aerospace Congress "Strategic Changes in Aviation and Space Activities: New Objectives and Management Challenges" took place at the National Centre RUSSIA — his was the main business event of the year in the aviation and space industries. The gathering was attended by over 600 delegates from Russia, as well as countries of the Greater Eurasian Partnership, including BRICS+ nations. The Congress opened the business program at the National Centre and was held with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
At the plenary session, experts discussed the issues of forming effective communications between industrial enterprises, scientific organizations, and product customers to ensure technological sovereignty, as well as the prospects for creating new technologies in the aviation and space industries.
The welcome address to the Congress participants was sent by Denis Manturov, the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. A video address to the members of the professional community was also made by Denis Kravchenko, the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy.
The moderator of the plenary session was Vildan Zinnurov, General Director of Soyuzinform LLC.
Vasily Shpak, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, emphasized the importance of the aerospace sector and outlined the main areas of activity in aerospace.
"We are experiencing a new surge of humanity's interest in the celestial planes. These are truly amazing new prospects, primarily the so-called 'Internet of Everything,' where there is the opportunity to connect anywhere, anytime, with guaranteed speed and reliability. This cannot be done without using the sky, and this is especially relevant for our country with its vast spaces. Therefore, it is in the hands of the people in this room that the future of all humanity lies, and if it was once a dream, now it is a conscious reality, a necessity. So, let us not forget that the sky for us, Russians, is not something unattainable, but something we know and understand well," said Vasily Shpak.
Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Dmitry Bakanov spoke about the space services market and their successful integration into everyday life, including in transport infrastructure. He addressed, in particular, the state information system "ERA GLONASS," created by order of the Ministry of Transport, which has been operating in the country since 2015. Vehicles connected to the system are equipped with emergency services call devices.
"Currently, the Ministry of Transport, together with JSC GLONASS and the Ministry of Digital Development, is creating the Federal Navigation and Information Platform on the GOSTECH. It will store information about the country's transport fleet. There will also be the ability to monitor transport, track routes, and schedules. Citizens need higher-quality services, and we are ready to apply any new technologies that allow achieving this quality — whether they come from state or private companies," emphasized Dmitry Bakanov.
The report by Andrei Dobryakov, Deputy Head of the Federal Air Transport Agency, was dedicated to the changes expected in Russian aviation in the near future. Oleg Storchov, Chairman of the Interstate Aviation Committee, discussed the current state of flight safety levels and shared plans for their improvement.
Head of the Aerospace Activities Department of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of the Republic of Belarus, Pyotr Vityaz, introduced the Congress participants to how the cooperation between NAS Belarus organizations and the Roscosmos State Corporation is structured in the field of space technology development based on small spacecraft. While Vadim Medvedev, CEO of the National Technology Initiative Fund, informed about the regulatory requirements and programs that will soon be modified and supplemented, so that innovative companies can comfortably continue their work in the industry.
As part of the Congress, the First Russian Space Forum took place, aimed at consolidating the intellectual potential of both traditional and developing private space sectors. Additionally, representatives of the professional community participated in the Aviation and Innovation forums. They took part in conferences and roundtable discussions on topics such as "Commercialization of Space Services," "Transfer of Research Results in Aerospace Industry Projects," "Aviation Transport Logistics — A New Reality," "Innovation and Technological Clusters and Technoparks: Their Role in the Development of the Aerospace Industry," "Satellite Engineering: Horizontal Integration of State and Private Programs," "New Materials for the Aerospace Industry," and others.
The Eurasian Aerospace Congress was established by the Eurasian Partnership of Aerospace Clusters in 2013 as a cross-industry communication platform for industrial enterprises, research and educational centers, and expert communities in the aviation and space fields. The National Centre RUSSIA was established by order of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to preserve the legacy of the International RUSSIA EXPO and to showcase the achievements of the country and its citizens on a permanent basis. The first event at the National Centre RUSSIA was the International Symposium "Inventing the Future," which welcomed more than 6,000 guests from 101 countries. The National Centre RUSSIA is located at 14 Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment, Moscow. The Centre is open from 10:00 to 20:00 every day except Monday.
