The ceremony of transferring the fire of the All-Russian Family Hearth took place at the National Centre RUSSIA
On December
26, the National Centre RUSSIA hosted the transfer of the fire of the
All-Russian Family Hearth "Heart of Russia." The solemn ceremony was
attended by families who got married at the International RUSSIA EXPO and
couples who married at the National Centre.
The
tradition of transferring the fire of the family hearth originated at the
International RUSSIA EXPO. On January 23, 2024, Russian President Vladimir
Putin launched the Year of the Family. On this day, a solemn ceremony took
place at the Exposition to light the All-Russian Family Hearth "Heart of
Russia."
The fire
for the "Heart of Russia" arrived from the city of Murom — one of the
oldest cities in our country, where Peter and Fevroniya lived, becoming a
centuries-old symbol of love and fidelity. The warmth of the All-Russian Family
Hearth spread to all regions of Russia. In total, the fire traveled over
150,000 kilometers.
The National
Centre RUSSIA, preserving the legacy of the Exposition, continues this
tradition. The fire was passed by the Muzykantov family, who married at the
First All-Russian Wedding Festival on May 12, 2024, and the Pylaev family — a
couple who married during the RUSSIA EXPO on July 8, 2024, the Day of Family,
Love, and Fidelity.
"Today,
on the one hand, is a very symbolic day because we are summing up the Year of
the Family. On the other hand, today is a very personal day for us because this
year we got married on July 8 — Family, Love, and Fidelity Day. And also, this
year we visited the city of Murom itself. And here it is — the hearth that we
brought from there," said Pavel Pylaev.
Four
couples accepted the fire of the All-Russian Family Hearth. One of them is the
Andreichenko family — the first couple to get married at the RUSSIA EXPO on
November 10, 2023. It was Alexander and Alyona who initiated the grand wedding
project.
"We remember how, a year ago, we became part of something greater than just a family celebration. Becoming the first couple to marry as part of the RUSSIA EXPO was a huge honor and responsibility for us. And today, a year later, we see how the tradition that began on that day has grown, bringing together people, families, and generations. The fire of the family hearth is the warmth of hearts from all over Russia," said Alexander Andreichenko.
Icon lamps
with the fire of the "Heart of Russia" were also handed to three
couples who got married during the First Wedding Ceremony at the National
Centre RUSSIA on December 26, 2024. These are the Kuular, Eldarov, and Zotova
families.
"It is
a great joy for us to participate in this event today and to register our
marriage here. I want to say that this is a wonderful tradition that our
President has initiated. I hope this fire of the family hearth will always
remain in our hearts, in our home. And I wish the same for all of you,"
concluded Ariel Eldarov.
The fire is
passed as a symbol of warmth, love, and fidelity, bringing together
generations. Each new recipient adds their spark, transforming the flame into a
shared story. The tradition of passing the fire of the All-Russian Family
Hearth does not end; it will continue to grow and unite more happy families.
