A pre-premiere screening of the patriotic drama "Aldan" to be held at the National Centre RUSSIA
On December
8, ahead of Heroes of the Fatherland Day, the National Centre RUSSIA will host
a pre-premiere screening of the patriotic drama "Aldan," dedicated to
the memory of heroes of the Special Military Operation.
"Aldan"
is a dramatic film based on true events. The main character is a Yakut IT
entrepreneur and volunteer in the SMO. After the tragic death of his daughter,
he decides to join the armed forces and become a military doctor. His journey
is filled with moral dilemmas and a fight for justice. The film portrays
profound human emotions and unwavering loyalty to one's Motherland. The
prototype of the protagonist is Nikolai Potapov, a recipient of the Order of
Courage, deputy commander of a unit, and a military medic in the 155th Marine
Brigade.
The film
was created with the support of the Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia),
Aisen Nikolayev, and the Governor of the Zaporozhye region, Yevgeny Balitsky.
The cast includes renowned actors such as Ivan Okhlobystin, Dmitry Dyuzhev, and
Jeff Monson. The director is Dmitry Koltsov. The film’s wide release is
scheduled for February 2025.
More than
10 specialists from various fields contributed to the creation of the film,
including military personnel, medical experts, neurophysiology specialists, and
representatives of spiritual and ethnic communities. In one of the scenes,
actual soldiers from a volunteer special battalion participating in the
operation appear on screen.
Before the
screening, a mobile exposition titled "Wives of Heroes" will be
presented, dedicated to women who have become pillars of support for
participants in the SMO. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the
items and engage in various activities. The program will also feature a
performance by a Yakut creative ensemble and a special act by Varvara
Okhlobystina. The event will be hosted by the film's producer, Andrei Sentsov,
and TV presenter Olga Solovey.
Following
the screening of "Aldan," a public discussion will be held with the
participation of the actors and creators of the film, including Ivan
Okhlobystin, Dmitry Dyuzhev, Jeff Monson, Roman Vladykin, and Dmitry Koltsov.
This will be a unique opportunity for the audience to discuss the film with its
creators and learn more about the production process of this large-scale
project.
"Aldan"
is dedicated to the memory of Russian war journalists who lost their lives in
the line of duty during the SMO. The film aims not only to tell the stories of
its heroes but also to provide important insights into the lives and fates of the
participants in the operation, their sacrifices, and their heroic deeds.
The
National Centre RUSSIA was established by order of the President of the Russian
Federation, Vladimir Putin, to preserve the legacy of the International RUSSIA
EXPO and to showcase the achievements of the country and its citizens on a
